Happy Birthday to My Blog and Giveaways Kickoff!!!

Today is the big day! Not only is my blog a year old but today marks the beginning of the Big Birthday Blog Giveaway!! Be sure to come back and visit EVERY DAY for a new giveaway!! You won't regret it!!

I never imagined, when I started blogging a year ago, that I would be where I am today. I have met so many wonderful people and have been touched by so many stories of faith, perseverance, and love. I have found some great recipes, good book recommendations, and fun crafts and projects for myself and the girls.

I never expected that I would inspire or encourage someone. But as I wrote, I would get comments thanking me for sharing my bad day because it let someone know they are not alone. Or if I would write about a Bible verse I read, someone would write telling me how timely it was that they read my post at the exact time they needed some encouragement. Some would write and say I made them laugh.

That, my friends, is payment enough for me. I never wanted my blog to go "mainstream". I never wanted advertisers or sponsors. I enjoy doing the few giveaways I get contacted for, but I never wanted to get to the point where I had to spend more time blogging than I do with my family.

So this month, I am celebrating YOU -- my readers. It's because of you that I keep going. You keep coming back. You keep encouraging me. You keep sharing your stories with mine. And you make me laugh with your comments.

My first giveaway is actually my last giveaway - if that makes sense! This post is the beginning of the big "Get To Know Me" giveaway which will be awarded at the end of the month. And the big prize -- a $50 Starbucks gift card!!

My last post of the month will be an interview with me -- using questions that you all post here. All you need to do to enter the giveaway is to post a question in the comment section of THIS blog. For each question, you get a separate entry. That's it! It's that simple!
