Oh Christmas Tree!

Last Sunday the girls and I decorated our Christmas tree.  My Marine and I have always had real trees....we make a big deal out of going for the tree and setting it up.  This year, though, I just wasn't feeling going out....by myself, with the girls.....and lugging a real tree home.  Last deployment I did it....but I also had only one kid and my mom was here to help.

So fake tree it was!

I had a Facebook conversation with My Marine about it too.....still makes me giggle.....

Me: Hey....how would you feel if I got a fake tree this year?
My Marine: That would be alright, since i'm not there, but then you would have to destroy all evidence of it before i come home and we can never speak of this again.
Me: I was going to donate it to charity after the holidays....
My Marine: That would be nice....wait....you already got the tree, didn't you.
Me: Ummmm.....nooooo....
My Marine: Banging head against the wall.....

So, last Sunday, up it went.  I was amazed at how easy it was!  And I have to say that I'm really liking the tree....so bright!

The girls wanted to do red, white, and blue for Daddy.....and how can I say no?!
