Mayhem in the Ukranian Parliament....

Apparently the folks in the Ukrainian Parliament didn't agree with some of the topics of discussion and started throwing tomatoes and smoke bombs at the leadership. Isn't it funny how in the 21st Century, that there when you get so angry that all you can think of to do is throw smoke bombs and tomatoes? I suppose, compared to the alternative, it's not a bad choice.

Gee - think we can get Congress to try something like that?

In local news....Remember Deputy Cletus from the infamous high school tasering incident that I wrote about earlier has now resigned. First smart move you've made Cletus!

Last Monday I hosted a playdate for my fellow MOPS table leaders and their kids. Everyone, except one mom, showed up. I had a total of 8 moms and 15 kids under the age of 5 in my home. Amazingly, all the kids got along great and played very well together! My house looked like all the toyboxes threw up, but I loved every minute of it!! Great way to start the week!

There is nothing like a lecture from your mechanic to make you feel total shame. It pales in comparison to being lectured by your parents.

I got an engine light on my Jeep the other morning. I panicked, like I always do, and thought the worst -- a HUGE repair bill. Turns out that my Jeep was severely overdue for an oil change. Now, before I get a lecture from all of you too, I - normally - am on top of this stuff like white on rice. But for some reason, this time around, I just kept pushing it off and pushing it off until the Jeep could take no more. So I took it to our garage and hoped for the best.

One oil change and one lecture later, the engine light no longer taunts me.

I just had to comment about the smoke bombs and tomatoes! I laughed! I was just talking to my husband about it, and we joked because when monkeys get mad, they fling poo at each other. I told my husby that I just wanted to fling poo at Washington! LOL. Tomatoes would be so fun too!

I recently checked the oil in my own jeep to find out it was very low! whoops. I fixed that tho.

My favorite inspirational quote...
I have few, but the one that I always seem to hover closer to is-
"Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like there's nobody watching." - Anonymous

It's my fav because I think so many people take their families for granted, working hard for them, but loose them for it. Love is such a diamond and incrediable thing and yet we hide behind the hurts we've expereinced in the past instead of letting go and feeling the wonder of it. And dancing like nobody's watching, my bff once danced in the back of her truck in the rain, for no other reason but because she felt like it. And I've never had the courage to do something like that, but someday I know I will.

The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same. ~Carlos Castaneda

That's my fav quote. I actually used it this week on my Wellness blog this week.

btw, I loved your tomatoes in parliment part of the post, that's pretty funny. I'm also always humored by I think it is Tawain where they get in slap fights in their governmental meetings, lol.

Do I have to pick one? LOL There are so many that stick with me but I guess lately the forerunner is 'I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much!' By the wonderful Mother Teresa
My other is
"Life's not about waiting for the storms to pass,
It's about learning to dance in the rain"

Those both tell me to be aware of now and have faith in all situations because God is right there no matter what.

One of my favorites is from a Scott Krippayne song

"Sometimes He calms the storm, and other times He calms His child."

I think it is so true.

If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes.
St. Clement of Alexandra

You should be greatful for what you have, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't hope for more. Hope is the foundation of happiness. We build up from there.
